The Daily News

I discovered something new on my excursion around town a couple of days ago - newspaper boxes! These were so fun to photograph, and are something I would not have even seen in the past.  Such great texture, color and shape in these weathered boxes.

They also made a great repeating pattern, all lined up in a row. The color differences make it more visually interesting, breaking up the pattern.

Do you have any of these around your town? Have you noticed them before?

  1. We have news boxes, but they are mostly gray or beige and not lined up in photogenic rows! But you can bet I'll be looking more closely in the future.

  2. You can make anything beautiful!!! OK, so I'll be checking out the paper boxes! I never even thought about photographing a paper box!! My eyes are opening, but they still have a ways to go before I really see clearly!!

  3. This is a great photograph Kat!
    Simple and wonderful.
    Happy Sunday to you!

  4. oh yes, we have tons of those around here. you make them look lovely my friend. and yay, i got my first postcard yesterday!!

  5. Yes, you make me see them in a new way. We have lots around here too...will go check them out and maybe post one for my August Break series. You're always giving me good ideas. :)

I also got my first postcard today -- yay!

  6. I used to notice these when I took the paper....they were lined up at the local post office. I stopped reading the news and watching the news about 4 years ago, so I imagine I just don't see them. I should check to see if there are any around. You caught some great colors here.

What's your view of the world? I love to hear yours too!
