Curly Fence

Yesterday I started to look through my photos from the Portland Photowalk, and here is one of my early favorites, of a beautifully curly fence. I still need to finish reviewing photos and write up a post on the Photowalk, it was so much fun!

I am feeling so behind this week... even though I got back home a week ago, we went to Venice for the weekend and had house guests here for most of the week. There are piles everywhere in my life - on my desk, on my bedroom floor (suitcase is still not unpacked!), on my "to do" list, in my email inbox, in my google reader... everywhere. I don't like this feeling, to be honest. This weekend I hope to get things under control. Anyone have suggestions for me?

  1. No suggestions on the piles...but let me know if you get a solution...I am just glad to know you are human too! Love your pics....keep up the beautiful craft...and forget the piles.

  2. My suggestion is to have a glass of great wine, sit down, put your feet up and think about it. I just wish I was able to follow my own advice sometimes!

  3. My mantra when I'm overwhelmed (used it yesterday!) is "Everything that needs to get done will get done." Sometimes I add "with plenty of time to spare." Makes me feel good even about the stuff I don't get done!

  4. My suggestion would be not to write a 'to do' list! Mine tend to increase in size and I find I haven't done anything I set out to do in the first place because I'm doing all the little things that have become big chores!!

  5. Get it done. You will feel better.
While you are at it, throw half of everything you have away.

  6. Take a deep breath and tackle something. You will feel better. And you don't have to do everything!

  7. Such a beautiful photo.
And for the piles - take it easy. Relax, drink a cup of tea. Nothing has to be done at once. Cuddle the people you love - so much more impotant than working on piles. Whatever you do - enjoy the weekend!

  8. I am finding as I am in a "pile reducing" mode...most of it isn't necessary. Carola is right...cuddle with those you love. Don't you worry - those piles will be there when you get around to it and maybe the urge will have passed to address them and you can just throw most of it right into the trash!

  9. Set a timer and see what you can get done in 20 mins and come back to it later... I read that in a time management book once but, I still have piles. Oh well.... great picture!

  10. I don't have any suggestions, but I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in this hectic world! Sounds like we are having similar weeks right now!
Just enjoy your photos from the trip & relax.
