I've been there once and it's a place I've always wanted to go back to. A friend of mine and I went there in'99 while backpacking around Europe. We didn't plan on going, in fact we never heard of it, but people in our Hostels kept telling us we had to go...so we did. sigh....amazing! I keep telling my husband we need to go so he can see it too, and so I can get back there. One day. Also, I understand your love of peeling paint, I am drawn to it and have many pictures of it...maybe it's the history you can see in it...I don't know.
