I do appreciate your posts about this issue, nice food for thought.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13146377365343300346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069190054658675691.post-36608919893596712442011-02-04T18:45:29.808-08:002011-02-04T18:45:29.808-08:00I find that if I start up my computer, open my ema...I find that if I start up my computer, open my email, check the blogs and FB, it can be like a huge black hole and the morning disappears with nothing to show for it. Some days I discipline myself to only use the computer for creative projects. With no "peeking" at any of that, I get so much more done! Even when I retreat to my studio, I have a tendency to take my ipod and start looking at stuff. So for me, it takes intention to stick to what I want to accomplish and not get side-tracked. It's a constant battle, but worth the fight I think!pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12994187495930211144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069190054658675691.post-5709839955953937302011-02-04T14:43:20.930-08:002011-02-04T14:43:20.930-08:00I prefer angels.I prefer angels.Munkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04921320770712443773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069190054658675691.post-22252562356035970722011-02-04T12:27:33.255-08:002011-02-04T12:27:33.255-08:00Like so many here, I'm spending way too much t...Like so many here, I'm spending way too much time on the internet. It's so much fun to read blogs and learn and comment and find some more... However, I have shut the internet out of most of my mornings (except Wednesdays) and rather spend that time in my "studio" or with friends or out with the camera. I know that I need time for simply dreaming, journaling, gardening. The stuff for my soul.<br />I love the photo, Kat.Carola Bartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05536486322412234854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069190054658675691.post-32387266395975471212011-02-04T10:51:40.777-08:002011-02-04T10:51:40.777-08:00When I look at a photo with an angle, my immediate...When I look at a photo with an angle, my immediate response is to straighten it. It is my concrete nature. Doesn't matter why or what, I by default, want is straight. A personality flaw to be sure but it makes me wonder what else I straighten without knowing it and what if what I change is important to the Big Picture. Just read a great blog post by Donald Miller on takers - he meant people but I think anything that takes, could be included. I just finished reading Hamlet's Blackberry, which discusses the lure of "screen time" and how we are being pulled in so many directions. He suggests unplugging one day a week to reconnect with ourselves. He calls it an "internet Sabbath" .ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08748316725457763377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069190054658675691.post-1369815767260455922011-02-04T07:20:31.794-08:002011-02-04T07:20:31.794-08:00love this! I find the best way to pursue the dreaming and scheming is by walking in the countryside with no distractions (except maybe a dog!) and, dare I say it, maybe sometimes not even a camera.Angie Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02119123733934337373noreply@blogger.com
